ebonEmpress is a Community Advocate, Musician, Emcee, Designer and Curator. She began as a community advocate creating platforms for young creatives to come and express themselves. These Black Spaces are established to create opportunities for people of African Descent to access equipment, education, training, networks, and opportunities, empowering them to creatively and economically flourish, building on their unique gifts and authentic perspectives.
As an artist under the stage name ebonEmpress blends Hip hop, Jazz, and R&B, where she shares her lived experience as a woman of African descent and spreads a message of unity and acceptance. She is committed to spreading awareness about the injustice faced by African communities and showcases the impact people of African descent have on Canadian and global cultures.
